There are several trees found at Monkton Wylde and one in Hazelbury on the Somerset Dorset Border, that tally with old descriptions of Tan Harvey recorded from south of Exeter. The leaf samples tally with Brogdale’s Fair Maid of Taunton! Are they all one and the same? |

General description |
Medium to fairly large, round or flattened cylindrical with many gentle ribs,. A pale yellow fruit with orange-brown flush, open eye with upright sepals. Stem is usually just a stub sometimes swollen at the fruit end. |
