Midseason Mild Sharp Cider Apple

 

Origin and distribution

 

Another apple brought to Kingston Maurward College Apple Day 2007 for identification by Charlie from the Square & Compass, Worth Matravers. Collected in a nearby orchard.

 

General description

 

Small rounded green and red striped ‘crab’ with a long stem and a tall pinched nose. Flesh rather non-descript taste, slightly chewy, greenish, sometimes slightly reddened under the skin.
