Described in National Apple Register: Raised by Symes of Melberry, Dorset 1920. Many similar apples seen in Dorset but the best positive finding was a whole orchard of this variety in Powerstock. |

General description |
Medium large, tall cylindrical or flattened conical apple, flecked and striped scarlet over orange base. Stripes stronger at the base, fading towards the eye. Rather weak dessert taste and melting texture. |
