Midseason Mild Bittersharp Cider Apple

 

Origin and distribution

 

Fruit brought to Kingston Maurward College Apple Day 2007 for identification by Charlie from the Square & Compass, Worth Matravers. Collected in a nearby orchard.

Also found as a single tree in Score’s Orchard, Nettlecoombe in 2004.

 

General description

 

Small rounded very dark red fruit covered in a crackle russet, with a long stem. Flesh mildly astringent sharp, hard, chewy,
